This is a LEGO model of the Mars orbiter MAVEN. MAVEN was launched in 2013 and has been in orbit with Mars since 2014. The real MAVEN is 37.5 feet long and this model that I made is 7 inches long (from wingtip to wingtip) and is almost 7 inches tall with the stand and has 89 pieces in all. Although it is probably too small to be a LEGO set on its own, I think it would look great with another Mars orbiter(s). I've tried to recreate most of the orbiter's details as closely as possible with my bricks. This model has studs on all of its sides, so I could attach various details to the sides, top and bottom.
