HUMMER is iconic. Its design is unique and unmistakable. It's big, bold, and bonkers.

GM resurrected HUMMER with the launch of the revolutionary GMC HUMMER EV in 2022. The electric underpinnings expand the already impressive resume, adding absurd 0-60 performance, advanced driver technologies, and expanded off-road capabilities, all while eliminating tail-pipe emissions.

LEGO and GM have partnered multiple times to bring Corvette and Camaro, legends in their own right, to enthusiasts around the world. But there has never been a LEGO HUMMER*. It's time to celebrate the return of an icon with the first official HUMMER LEGO set.

Features:
This HUMMER EV design features removable "Infinity Roof" panels that stack and store in the front trunk and allows for different build options (top on, half-off, top off). A secret compartment beneath the seats can store the "top off" cross member or the roof rails/windows, depending on the configuration. The tailgate is functional and opens flush with the bed. The seats and side-view mirrors are adjustable and the ride height can be changed by adding/removing plates to simulate the various suspension modes, including "Extract Mode". There is also a cup holder!

Update: The design now supports CrabWalk and 4-wheel steering! See Update #1!

Sub-models:
Sandy, rocky landscape elements, inspired by the famous rock-crawling of Moab, can be used for both display and play. A DC fast-charging station, complete with flexible charging cables and a credit-card reader, will keep the HUMMER EV "charged" and ready for adventure.

Accessories:
  • Vertical spare tire carrier
  • Off-road light bar
  • Hinged tonneau cover
  • Pickup bed storage rack
  • Tools (shovel, tire iron, wrench)
  • Alternate wheel covers (silver or black)
  • Alternate tow hooks (black or red)

Update: Roof-top tent and cargo carrier added! See Update #2!

Colors:
The design supports the following exterior colors:
  • Bright Orange (Afterburner Tintcoat)
  • Bright Blue (Supernova Metallic)
  • White (Interstellar White)
  • Black (Void Black)
  • Dark Stone Grey (Meteorite Metallic)
  • Medium Stone Grey (Tide Metallic)
And the following interior colors:
  • White (Lunar Horizon)
  • Dark Stone Grey (Lunar Shadow)

Trivia:
  • The scale was derived from setting 6 studs = 6 panels of the "H-U-M-M-E-R" light-grill.
  • Neon green plates on the bottom of the vehicle and orange plates internal to the chassis are references to the EV battery and high voltage cabling, respectively.
  • The safety pillars around the DC fast-charger have bars inside that act like rebar and engage with the baseplate for extra strength.
  • There is a crab hidden under the boulder of the rockwork - a nod to the HUMMER EV's "CrabWalk" feature.
  • The secret compartment was inspired by LEGO Adventurers 5978, one of my favorite sets as a kid.

Techniques:
  • Various SNOT techniques were used to achieve partial offsets for the hood, fenders, side-steps and rockwork.
  • Jumpers were used for the wheel wells, frunk, pickup bed, and seats.

Stickers:
This set could come with stickers such as "HEV" badges for the driver and passenger doors, "HUMMERev" lettering for the tailgate, and "H-U-M-M-E-R" lettering and extra definition/detail for the headlights/grill area. The DC fast-charger could have an "Ultium" sticker or graphics for the touchscreen display.

Piece count:
HUMMER EV: 675 pcs
Rockwork: 150 pcs
DC fast-charger: 99 pcs
Accessories: 47 pcs
Crabwalk Axles (Update #1): 29 pcs
Adventure Pack (Update #2): 99 pcs
Total: 1099 pcs

I love designing LEGO in my spare time, and I love electric vehicles. However, I genuinely believe the unique combination of a recognizable vehicle (with angles and lines that reproduce well with LEGO) and a design which supports various assembly options, landscape/display elements, and multiple accessories, make this set particularly compelling. With a 1099 piece count and simple techniques, this set is approachable and suitable for builders of all skill levels.

At the end of the day, I had a blast designing and building this set! And playing with it, finding issues, and redesigning it. And tweaking it again just because. And adding accessory after accessory. I hope it brings you joy as well. Thanks for looking, and for supporting my idea if you do! Have a great day!
