Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
Thank you! Please be on the lookout for a resubmission!
I would like to thank everyone for supporting this project. If you are not already following me on LEGO Ideas, please do, as I will be adding 3 more custom modulars, multiple vehicles and other LEGO builds for the modular world in the next few days. This project was my first try at a LEGO modular building from scratch and I am proud of the work. I hope to be making some videos in the coming weeks to explore my modular LEGO hobby some more, including building techniques, custom builds, and planning techniques for completing your own modular buildings.
It doesn't look like we will make it to 5000 votes needed to get to extra 6 months of possible support, but be on the look-out for a revised version of the LEGO Modular School and other modular custom builds (including a LEGO Modular City Museum).
Keep building!
Thanks for the support so far...one month left!
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project. I have made some minor adjustments to the building in the past few months but mainly on the inside. Features like a trophy case, an aquarium and printed tiles for chalkboards are on the inside of the school now. Also, the front elevation above the entrance has been scaled down to actually have a more streamlined appeal to it (that picture is below.)
I know there is only one month left, but I plan to resubmit this project if if it does not make it to the 5000 needed for extension. I also have a school bus (seen in some of the pictures), a science museum modular, a Bob's Burgers modular, custom Batmobile from the animated series and a TMNT party wagon all ready for submission (just working on better pictures and accompanying videos).
Article about the LEGO Ideas in University Newspaper
Article Published on LEGO Modular High School Building in Texas A&M University Newspaper
So, I am currently seeking a PhD in Education at Texas A&M University and The Battalion, the university newspaper, did an article about the project submission and LEGO Ideas.
Here is the link: http://www.thebatt.com/life-arts/a-m-student-submits-retro-school-design-to-lego-ideas/article_008b357c-205c-11e5-89b4-b7643edd06a4.html
It also gives some history about the building that this project was based upon.
A look outside.
From teaching outside to having lunch and relaxing in the courtyard, the high school is a fun place to be.
Almost Late for Lab
Peter Parker is almost late for science lab after protecting the city. Check out Spider-Man swinging back to school.
Inside the Principal's Office
Inside the Principal's office and the prankster's mom pays a visit.
Prankster Caught and Awaiting the Principal
Well, it looks like they found the April Fools' Day prankster. Now he is waiting on the principal.
April Fools' Day Prank
Looks like one of the students at the High School had fun doing a prank on April Fools' Day with the classic pants up the flagpole.
Side/Rear Exits with Building Next to School
Here are the Side/Rear exits to the school when a building is next to it with the mini-sidewalk (8x32 plates) configuration 2. The picture shows Town Hall next to the High School.
Update: Students outside the school pictures.
Thank you for the day one support and all the wonderful comments.
One of the commenters asked about adding students to the building. Here are pictures of how it is displayed at home on bookshelf. I tried to use some minifigures that would appear to be high school age students.
