Steampunk Assault Airship

Welcome to my very first submission, design and build using Studio 2.0, all are original Lego parts. I like pirate ships and steampunk theme so I decided to combine them both. Inspired by the Helicarrier, I substitute the four propellers with hot air balloon to give the ship a more steampunk look. I have also added some Viking element on the ship such as the round shield.

The ship is armed with a 360 degree rotatable underside twin gun turret and a cannon turret, 3 bombs on either side and 6 cannons at the rear bottom section. As an assault ship it is meant to be offensive so I added team of jetpack flyer that can be armed with pistols or long guns.

The ship is powered by two small propeller steam engine that propels the ship forward provide upthrust for the two hot air balloon at the front. And another big steam engine that floats the two hot air balloon at the back. I did not focus much on the interior as they cant be seen anyway except for the steam boiler and engine part which can be seen with the section open up. I try to include as much details on the boiler such as the gauge, pipes and a coal loader.

The ship rudder is functional with gears and axles but due to Lego does not have a ship wheel with axle hole, it remain as a dummy.
