Just wanted to show the final version in real brick instead of LDD rendering :)

Cheers

Some additions & tweaks...

Hi all

A quick update. Now I have seen the actual Vespa in my mate's garage, I thought I should change & add some things...

  • Changed the front fender, it's narrower & rounder, and has the "racing stripe".
  • Added the engine / kickstarter which is visible under the right rear panel.
  • Changed the structural integrity of the front / steering column. It's now proper sturdy.
  • Lowered the handle bars by half a stud.
  • Saddle now opens the right way :)
  • As does the glove box.

Made a quick rendering, will build it as soon as i have the parts. Thanks all, for your continued interest!

Gave the orange Vespa to my friend... Discovered it was a staff pick...

Hi all, just gave the orange Vespa to my friend, he was on the verge of tears (no he wasn't, but he really really really likes it. It's gotten an A location in his living room). I went into his garage and finally came to see the Vespa 200 rally in real life. All the proportions look quite close to the real thing - I am quite happy with the result.

However, building something off photographs does have downsides... I discovered the seat opens from the other side and the glove compartment opens from the bottom up. However, now i know that, i can fix it... :) Will be sharing results.

I have been travelling for the past weeks with little WiFi, and to my surprise saw the Vespa is a stafff pick! Thank all of you for the support!

Front fender evolution... what do you think?

The front fender was so difficult to create... Here's my first attempt, you can see it IRL in the orange one.

Replaced it in the second version, you can see it in the photograps in the white version.

However, been tinkering with a third version... Let me know what you think... Which version do you like?

For comparing with the real thing, see this google image search link.

And thanks for the feedback & support!
