The project recreates the very first appearance of Hello Kitty, produced by the Japanese company Sanrio, created by Yuko Shimizu, and designed by Yuko Yamaguchi. The character's first release on an item, a vinyl coin purse, was introduced in Japan in 1974.

I have always been fascinated by its design and simplicity. It is very challenging to find a minimalist solution and to be expressive all at once. Create something relatable or cute has also impressed me, and because of its shape language, it was a great chance to find a way to build the character with round curved pieces.

The figurine sitting on its own bow, which is her attribute and also became an icon. The model includes the milk bottle and the goldfish bowl as seen on the original vinyl coin purse.

The set includes around 600 bricks.
