Short-Eared Owl

Welcome back.

Here is another set dedicated to animals.

The subject proposed in this set is the short-eared owl.

A bird of prey that at dawn and dusk hunts voles, flying silently at low altitude over meadows.

What is it?

It is an elegant display to be displayed prominently in your homes or offices, which shows a beautiful specimen of short-eared owl (Asio flammeus), in the scene I have inserted blades of tall grass and a rat trying to escape.

The complete owl is made up of 2900 pieces in the closed-wing configuration, while in the open-wing configuration 3054 pieces.

N.B. the wings are not movable, they must be built either in the open or closed version, the attachment point on the body is the same. The dimensions of the owl are length 46cm, height 48cm and width 35cm, wingspan 90cm.

The owl model can orient its head, tail and legs, assuming various postures. While with the previously mentioned wings that are static, the closed solution is proposed (more realistic to build) and the open wings version that I have foreseen blocked but will certainly have to be supported.

Why did you build this? Because I like animals and I like LEGO sets dedicated to them.

This build will delight nature lovers, bird watchers and wildlife photographers with its details.

The model can assume various postures making the set customizable. The setting with the tall grass also makes it a fantastic display piece that will look good in any home!
