R2-D2 Star Wars Astro Droid

My project features the most famous astro-droid R2-D2

Droid is a mid-size scale (similar to the new LEGO buildable figures sets).

This scale allows to get detailled models, not too big, not requiring too much parts (around 220 bricks) and not too expensive to buy. The robot is 12 cm. tall.

I try to create a “studless” design, with more accurate possible shape including most of the details of the original droid.

Features:

-rotating head

-articolated side-legs ad paws

-foldable third central-leg

It’s very easy to create other astro-droid using different color and details (as the black and gold R2-Q5)
