NASA Mars helicopter Ingenuity

This is a model for the NASA Ingenuity helicopter to explore Mars. It is drone type, UAV helicopter manufactured by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. With a landing mass of 1.8 kg (4.0 lb), it has two rotors 120 cm (47 in) diameter and a total height of 80 cm (31 in). The vehicle will be deployed from the Perseverance rover on Mars.

The copter is an engineering challenge: just note that flight conditions in Mars are difficult: a thin atmosphere, less than 1% as dense as Earth's. So, light weight, and a lot of power to ensure lift are a must.

Ingenuity (also known as the Mars Helicopter) is a robotic helicopter that is planned to be used to test the technology to scout interesting targets on Mars, and help plan the best driving route for future Mars rovers. This small drone helicopter is planned for deployment in 2021 from the Perseverance rover as part of the Mars 2020 mission. It is expected to fly up to five times during its 30-day test campaign.

The model has two rotors (upper and lower) that can be rotated independently.

I built a LEGO model for it as an homage to this marvel of engineering. The set includes 82 parts, with 354 total quantity. I tried to made a model as close as possible to the original Ingenuity, especially in the details of the servo motors and rotors.

Don't miss the video:

In this update I improved (hopefully) the proportions of the rotors and added minimum details. I also include new render images.
