The drum is a percussion instrument that is one of the oldest musical instruments. The drum basically consists of a drum body and a drumhead. The drumhead is stretched against the drum body and is struck, usually with a drumstick, but sometimes by hand. Drums come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are used in many cultures around the world for rhythm, accompaniment, or as a solo instrument.
Acoustic drums refer to traditional drums that produce a natural sound through the resonance of the drum body and use different playing techniques to achieve a variety of sounds. Acoustic drums come in many different forms and are often part of a complete drum kit.
Snare Drum: This is the centerpiece of a drum kit and usually produces a sharp, clear sound produced by metal wires placed under the membrane.
Bass Drum: The largest drum in a drum kit, producing a deep, powerful sound. It is struck with a foot pedal.
Toms: Toms are medium-sized drums that have a variety of sounds, and a drum kit often uses different sizes of toms.
Cymbals: Although not drums, cymbals are an integral part of a percussion kit. Cymbals come in a variety of sizes and shapes and can be used to create a variety of effects.
I built it because I love drums and their sound.
I would like as many people as possible to become familiar with the instrument.
