Machu Picchu

It’s been 5 weeks since the project started and we have reached more than 2200 votes, 57000 views, and 7850 Likes on Facebook. Since I am a numbers nerd, I want to give you some data on the week by week progress. Looks like we have leveled off from the original hype and the project currently is at a healthy average of 80 votes per week. I have a couple of events and ideas planned in the upcoming months to boost support – but the current support has exceeded my expectations. I want to thank everyone who has helped the project so far especially the guys from LEGO Club Peru (Gustavo and Walter) you guys rock - see you guys in Lima next month! Thank you.

Han pasado 5 semanas desde que empezó el proyecto y hemos alcanzado más de 2200 votos, 57000 visitas y 7850 “Likes” en Facebook. Porque me fascinan los números les quiero dar datos sobre el progreso semanal. Parece que nos hemos nivelado y el proyecto actualmente está en un promedio saludable de 80 votos por semana. Tengo un par de eventos e ideas planeados en los próximos meses para impulsar el apoyo - pero el apoyo actual ha superado mis expectativas. Quiero agradecer a todos los que han ayudado al proyecto, especialmente a los chicos de LEGO Club Perú (Gustavo y Walter) ¡son lo máximo! - ¡los veo en Lima el próximo mes! Gracias. 

My friends from LEGO Club Peru recreated the model using my instructions (with minor changes – pieces and colors). Awesome!

Many people have written me asking for the instructions to the green version of Machu Picchu. I have updated the instruction booklet to include both green and brown versions. Please keep sending your ideas to improve the model!

I worked on a green version of the Huayna Picchu which can be built with existing LEGO pieces. I will post pictures of the modified model when I get the pieces next week.
