Every car guy knows that if you want to make a proper rat rod, it has to be loud, fast, and have that old rusted look to it. I made this model with that in mind.
At exactly 1,000 pieces, this car has plenty of details to discover. Both doors open and the roof is removable to reveal a detailed interior complete with driver seat, steering wheel, pedals, and dashboard.
Other cool features include a working V8 engine powered by turning the back wheels and functional steering using a gear on the back.
It took me several months on and off to complete, with multiple designs for the steering mechanism internal workings, and body shape. Although it has 1,000 pieces, that number could be lowered considerably.
