The Traitors Castle

The ultimate murder-mystery game of deception! Who will prevail, the Faithful or the Traitors?

I am proud to present to you my new product idea: The Traitors!

The Traitors is a smash-hit reality TV show which first broadcast on the BBC in 2022. It was inspired by the Dutch version 'De Verraders' and the format has since taken the world by storm, with similar programmes airing in over 20 different countries, such as the USA, Canada and Australia. In just a few years The Traitors has captivated millions of viewers worldwide and won may prestigious awards.

22 strangers compete in a series of daring missions for a chance to build and win a life-changing prize fund. But concealed among them are the traitors, who secretly gather in the night and eliminate players. Have you got what it takes to survive and catch the traitors before they steal the money for themselves?

The model depicts Ardross Castle, the beautiful setting of both the UK and US versions, in the Scottish highlands which is now synonymous with the Traitors. The castle is complete with turrets windows and of course the Traitors flag flying high! Right at the top of the castle, the traitors are planning their next victim in the turret.

The model also features the iconic round table from the show, where players vote for who they think should be banished. It is accurately complete with moon-inspired décor, glasses of water, and the huge pile of gold which is all to play for!

The characters around the round table show the finalists of the UK season 2: Harry, Jaz, Mollie, Andrew and Evie. The minifigures in the turret are based off the starting traitors in the UK season 3: Minah, Armani and the iconic Linda! Looming over the scene are the brilliant hosts of the UK and US shows, Claudia Winkleman and Alan Cumming.

I was inspired to build this because I myself have been obsessed with all things The Traitors over the last few weeks and have been completely gripped to the show. For me it is the most entertaining reality show to be produced in recent times. I think it perfectly captures the thrill of games such as 'mafia' or 'werewolf' which we all love to play but raises the stakes dramatically. I love the medieval castle theme seen in the show's design and the round table encapsulates this perfectly.

I think this would make a fantastic Lego set as it is a great homage to a show which is loved by so many. It makes a small yet detailed display piece which I think would look great on any desk. It also has an interactive element as the characters could be used as part of your very own rendition of The Traitors with family and friends.
