Fireball XL5

This is a model of the famous 60s space rocket from the TV series Fireball XL5. The model uses a very similar technique as the Saturn V, but has been redesigned to be a bit thinner to support the nose cone pieces. I made this model because Fireball XL5 was my father’s favourite show as a kid, and as a result, we used to watch it together when I was a kid. Constructing the model was rough at first, I had trouble making the distinctive nose cone shape, but I discovered these tower roof pieces that were perfect for the job. During construction, I mused a small model of the rocket as a reference, and made sure to add every last detail.
