This is an integrated circuit. From the headers (legs/feet) to the landing pads (gold), even to the packaging and the white dot representing pin 1, I tried to get the scale down as best as possible to reflect how an IC appears in real life.
I was inspired to build this set since I am an electrical engineer and I live and breathe this every day. So, I put together a set I know me and mine would enjoy--and hopefully others too. After all, lego isn't just a toy. It can be a gateway, and unlock other parts of people's imaginations they didn't know they had and ideally create an interest in something new. It is my hope that adults and children alike not only enjoy this set, but also the what it represents--the field of electronics engineering.
