The humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa (Rhinecanthus rectangulus) is an iconic tropical reef fish found in the Pacific Ocean. It is the official state fish of Hawaii, and its name translates to "the triggerfish with a snout like a pig's".
I chose to build this model since it is such a symbolic and beautiful fish. The Humu is life size, measuring 10.6 inches (26.8 cm) long and 4.4 inches (11.2 cm) tall. A display stand is included.
