Hello, everyone who happens to click here! My name is Werewolf Knight and this is my submission for LEGO IDEAS that I’ve been working on for over a year. I present you Godzilla: King Of The Monsters Display Model!
Godzilla and Madison Russell's characters are based on the Godzilla: King Of The Monsters movie. The model consists of:
-One Godzilla build;
-One Madison Russell minifigure with an ORCA device accessory;
all of them were made out of a total of 1089 LEGO pieces.
Godzilla is one giant titan with 31 articulation points that allow the character's body to be posed in multiple ways. That allows everyone to make many different and creative ways from replicating poses from the movies, to creating new and unique poses. The number of possibilities is huge. The build replicates a lot of features of Godzilla's character such as the angry eyes, the spikes on his back, the huge mouth full of sharp teeth, and the long tail. Everything that made Godzilla an unstoppable beast is here!
Madison Russell is the Minifigure of the model, based on the character with the same name from the Godzilla: King Of The Monsters movie. She comes with an ORCA device accessory.
I built this model mainly to see if I'm able to build Godzilla out of LEGO pieces. Trying to replicate a creature's organic feel is quite a challenge, but also a good exercise to see how far you can go with your imagination. So I decide to take this challenge to see how far can I go with my own skills. I also was motivated by the potential interest that Godzilla fans will have to see a LEGO set based on their favorite Kaiju monster.
The set has the potential to be really eye-catchy on the shelves of all LEGO collectors. The model is tall and imposing, which provides a really nice look. And, as I’ve mentioned earlier, the Godzilla model can be displayed in many poses, allowing everyone to decide how they want to exhibit the ferocious monster. The overall esthetic captures the figure of Godzilla really well. That will make so many LEGO collectors, who are also Godzilla fans, happy for how it turned out and more likely to want that model. Also, the build is made out of many interesting building techniques that will make the experience of building the potential set really fun. That’s why I think my model would make a great set.
With that being said, I hope you really like the model and you find the idea interesting!
