This project is inspired by one of the most important films of all time for its sensitivity.
The movie
E.T. The Extra -Terrestrial is a magical science fiction movie from June 1982 directed by Steven Spielberg. The story revolves around Elliot, a 10-year old boy, who becomes friends with an little alien named E.T. He was accidentely left behind by his other alien friends on a visit to earth. Connected to each other, Elliot and E.T. feel the same emotions. Elliot is going to help him “phone home” with a communicator so his friends can come back to Earth and pick him up.
E.T. The extra-terrestrial has become a cult movie that still gives us a lot of emotions again today. The relationship between Elliot and E.T. is the symbol of connection and possible empathy between individuals.
The E.T. LEGO model
This LEGO model of E.T comes with the sweets Elliot gives to lure E.T. and the flowerpot that revives at the same time as E.T. when he heals.
It has several built in functions.
- The arms, hands, fingers, feet, head and lip can be moved.
- His neck can become longer by turning on a gear at the back of him.
- By pushing a button on the side his chest lights up, like in the movie.
This LEGO model of E.T. is 1/3 scale, maintaining all proportions.
Number of parts: 2990 parts (2662 parts for E.T., 10 parts for sweets and 318 parts for the flowerpot)
Height: 307 mm (12.09 inches) the neck in the low position and 380 mm (14.9 inches) when the neck extended.
I propose you this LEGO model of E.T., to perhaps become a great LEGO set, because younger or older, we have all been touched by this little being and we now have, in us, an unforgettable little part of E.T.
