Wilderness Trail

This is a framed nature scene including a bugling elk, three birds, a squirrel, a rabbit, two fish, a frog, two butterflies, a mouse hiding underground, a cabin with a door that opens to reveal a bed and clock inside, a minifigure and dog hiking a trail, several pine trees, a stream flowing down from the top of a mountain, and a colorful sunset.

I built this set because the idea of making a forced perspective scene of an elk in front of a sunrise/sunset had been in the back of my mind for a while, and seeing art sets like The Starry Night, Gotham City, and the Milky Way Galaxy inspired me to finally attempt it. It took me a little over a month to complete (the elk was a challenge), and I plan to physically build this set if I'm able to acquire all of the pieces. In the meantime, I thought it could be fun to share it here on Lego Ideas.

I think this would make a great Lego set because it incorporates several common landscape features with a variety of colors and textures, and in addition to functioning as a unique display piece, it includes several different animals and a minifigure to play with.
