House Makeover

Many houses have been build by Lego fans over the years. And some are getting a bit older. Time to renovate!

The mini-figure family that bought this magnificent house knew it needed a bit of work to restore it to its original luster. And so they hired Pete the architect and John and his construction company to do a full, outside makeover. 

You can see the work in its final stages. Still some scaffolding around to replace the old bricks and fix the plaster. Joanne, standing on the ladder, is doing some final touches on the paintwork and Karl is laying the last tiles on the porch. Almost done! On the outside that is. The inside plans are still to be made!

Apart from being a nice (modular) house that would fit well with the existing ones, it also offers playability with the construction people, scaffolding, crane and materials.

And it adds an extra dimension to the building experience: Once the 'old-to-be-refurbished' house is done you can use the 'refurbishment kit' - a set of replacement bricks; see one of the pictures- to refurbish your house for real, and enjoy the final state!
