7K Announcement - Ryley Robinson Minifigure

Hey there Lego and Subnautica fans!

Can't believe we have reached 7,000 supporters in only half a year, this is an incredible milestone that I'm so glad we could finally reach and with only 3k supporters left to go I'm sure we'll get there in no time! Anyways, awhile ago I promised an update when we reached 7k and today I will deliver on this promise, many of you have already guessed it so I'll just go ahead...

The protagonist of Subnautica - Ryley Robinson
Now in minifigure form!

I'm pleased to finally show off that Ryley is now added to this project as a minifigure! After being heavily requested by all of you guys I finally made it a reality and he translates perfectly into LEGO. Coming with leg AND arm printing as well as scuba gear and flippers in order to make surviving on planet 4546B easier.

In addition to Ryley I have also updated all the pictures to bring out more color and really let it pop!

THANK YOU to every single one of you who has supported or shared this project of mine, I wouldn't be here without you guys and it really does mean the world that we reached 7,000 in just under half a year! Let's keep this train going and get 10k!

5K Announcement! CRASHED Version Revealed

Hi everyone!
Wow I can't believe I'm finally at 5,000 supporters for the Aurora, thank you each and every one of you who has supported and shared this dream of mine. Like I promised here is the Crashed Version of The Aurora like it appears in-game! So without further ado lets jump right into it

I wanted to make it easy to switch between the crashed and operational version of the Aurora without needing to buy a second one. The Crashed Aurora takes advantage of the axle pieces I used to attach the head of the ship and replace it with a broken version. All crashed parts are easily swappable with their corresponding spot and I utilized some printed pieces to allow me for even more wreckage. While I couldn't get it 100% accurate I feel like this still allows the Aurora to be displayed quite well and shows off the damage we see in-game.

The Aurora project will be updated as whole shortly, just have to wait for Lego to approve it. Let me know what you think about the crashed version and how you can switch between, additionally, let me know what else you might want to see included like perhaps a Ryley Robinson minifigure!

Lastly, thank you all so much again for supporting this dream of mine, the first 5k was hard but the rest will be even harder. I'm up for the challenge and ready to prove this build can be made.

3K Announcement + Sneak Peek for the Future

Wow! 3,000 supporters in just under a month, that is insane to me!
I would just like to quickly say how excited I get from all of your comments and constant support for this project of mine, they really do keep me passionate to improve and do my best to give my all in order to make the Aurora the best it can be. Don't forget I also have an Instagram & Tiktok dedicated to the Aurora @legoauroracampaign, but most importantly, from the bottom of my heart thank you everyone who has shared this with family, coworkers, and friends. I couldn't do it without your help and thank you to everyone that has given suggestions or critiques in what to add or improve, they have given me a good idea of what you all would like to see and I have a surprise for all of you for getting me to 3K! Without further ado, I'd like to showcase what the future holds for this project...

Updated Design for The Aurora
The Aurora has been given a makeover and the piece count has been drastically reduced! I have cleaned up a lot of problems that I had with the original model, you will notice the sides and antenna have been changed the most but a lot of the internal structure has been modified as well in order to reduce the pieces needed. Believe it or not I had to renovate around 60% of the original design, the plan is to include more printed pieces to give the build some life. However, the designs aren't ready yet and that is why I haven't updated the post as a whole. You'll also notice a little life pod on the side!

Sneak Peek for the Future!
By far the most popular request for this build will officially be unveiled once the 5k milestone is reached! This is the main reason why I had to renovate the original Aurora design, the 3,000 piece limit is a pain in the butt. However, that didn't stop me from figuring out the best way to incorporate the Crashed Version into this build, more info will be revealed at the 5k milestone on how it works and looks but I think you all will be happy with what I have made!

Additionally, if I think there is enough demand for it... I will include a Ryley Robinson minifigure for the 7k milestone! So make sure to let me know if you would like him included in The Aurora

Lastly, I would like to touch on the many requests for an interior or leviathans to be included alongside the Aurora. Unfortunately, due to the very strict 3,000 piece limit that Lego Ideas has for submissions I will have to pass on adding those to this build. I had to choose between interior and crashed version and though it was a hard choice I think you'll agree I made the best choice overall. Perhaps if LEGO decides to go through with this build we can work towards including the other top requested additions.

Thank you once again to every supporter out there, I seriously couldn't be here without you all. Remember to keep the conversation alive and share with anyone who might be interested!

Can't wait to show off the Crashed version :)
