About the model
Relive the journey of Callum, Ezran, Rayla and Bait as they venture out to return the lost Dragon Prince Azymondias to his home deep in the magical land of Xadia.

This project based on the popular TV show “The Dragon Prince” includes a large brickbuilt recreation of Lujanne’s majestical Moon Phoenix named Phoenix-Phoenix, more commonly known as Phoe-Phoe. The Moon Phoenix has fully articulated wings, legs, a tail and a rotatable head. As well as a saddle that seats up to 3 minifigures.

In addition to Phoe-Phoe a total of 5 other characters from the series’ main group called Team Zym (dubbed “Dragang” by fans) are included, both in minifigure and brickbuilt form:
  • Rayla - a Moonshadow Elf
  • Callum - the prince of Katolis
  • Ezran - the crown prince of Katolis
  • Bait - a Glow Toad
  • Azymondias “Zym” - the long lost Dragon Prince

The minifigures can be outfitted with the following accessories from the show:
  • Rayla’s signature elven blades
  • The mysterious Key of Aaravos
  • A pile of baker Barius’ famous Jelly Tarts. Yum!

All of the included characters can be displayed together on a display base based on the Moon Nexus' Moonhenge, a shrine of great importance to the Moonshadow Elves and Moon Phoenixes like Phoe-Phoe!

The set uses a total of 718 official LEGO pieces.

Why this project?
Ever since seeing the first season of “The Dragon Prince” back in September of 2018, I’ve been in love with the show's characters, creatures and expansive world. Though the idea of making a LEGO Ideas set wouldn’t cross my mind until years later, I did toy around with ideas for what scenes could be turned into cool LEGO sets. In early 2023 the skills I acquired through my design education made me want to recreate my favorite character in the show, Rayla, in LEGO form. This process convinced me it was time to finally start working on my very first Ideas submission, which after months of work resulted in the model you see on this page. I firmly believe this set concept would serve as an incredibly solid starting point for fans to recreate a plethora of scenes from the awe-inspiring journey Team Zym goes on in “The Dragon Prince”. But even LEGO fans who haven't seen the show can get a really unique build out of it with awesome minifigures, perfect for integration into fantasy and/or medieval displays! Were my project to reach 10.000 votes and make it through the review process, I would be super excited to see how fans of the show and LEGO alike would expand upon it with their own ideas.
