Version 2.0 (measurement adjustments, color scheme)

Hey there,

With this update I changed many little things, let's got through them bit by bit.
First of all, the new version of the model in total:

So ... what did change? Not that obvious, is it?

Let's start with the insides. The inside of the ship got a whole new color scheme, as well as new details like lights in the top corners of the room. I also had to adjust the cockpit tunnel a bit, I'll explain it later.

Here you can clearly see, that I darkened the main room a lot based on what the ship looks like in the tv series.

You can also see the new transparent bricks in the top rim of the room serving as lights. One 1x4 right above the access-tunnel to the cockpit, too.

The outer color Scheme changed as well, although it's only a little:

The last picture shows the side of the ship, which I changed the most. The red line that was not going across the whole side before does so now. Just like the real thing. Also I adjusted the yellow tiles, as the should not go all the way to the back.

Next, I redisigned the roof.

The rounded red bump carrying the top wing is now a bit lower and more flat, like, guess what, on the ship shown in the tv series :)
I also made the roof more studless. Looks a bit nicer in my opinion. The color scheme changed a little here, too. See the black bricks in the middle? Saw that on a new screenshot.

The next one looks like a minor change, but I had to redesign nearly a third of the ship for it. I noticed, that a normal sized minifig with hair or helmet can't stand upright in the back of the ship. In terms of playability this bothered me a lot. So I raised the overall height of the main room by 1 flat tile. Thats also the reason why there is this not very nice looking edge now, but I put playability over looks here :)

That caused the next problem: When the cockpit was a little too low on the frontside of the ship in the first place, now it looked horribly placed.
So I had to change how the cockpit was attached and moved it up in relation to the ships main body.

With all these little changes done, I think it got a whole lot better to play with and closer to the real deal.

Hope you like this.

Here, have a pilots view out of the cockpit as a little bonus ;)

Bunk beds, color scheme and minifig suggestions

Hey there,

for the first update I used the helpful suggestions of ericbazingas comment to liven up the inside of the shuttle a bit.

Now it includes 2 bunk beds, as seen in the episodes 15 and 16 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 3.

I also modified the control panels at the backside, some lights in the cockpit and the inner color scheme to match the original one seen in mentioned episodes better.

Furthermore I want to take the suggestion of ericbazinga and recommend 3 minifigures for this set: Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and Obi-Wan Kenobi with their Lightsabers. Eventually one or two Clone Troopers could be added.

Hope you like this, and thanks, ericbazinga
