How did the bird attach to the tree?
For those who are wondering how I attached the Red-headed Woodpecker to the tree, here I will explain.
First I found a suitable crevice in the bark and then I took a LEGO axle and inserted it into the crevice, pointing it slightly upwards. I twisted one of the birds feet 90° and slid that foot over the axle.
It wasn't very secure but it worked well enough for the picture.
