Boost Of Support - Thank You!

Hi fans,

I hope you're one of my new fans who found this project from the awesome shoutout by Studio Ghibli's Facebook page.  First off, thanks for checking it out--you are indeed at the Laputa Robot LEGO Ideas page

If you'd like to really support my project, please click the blue "Support" button to the right and follow the simple instructions.  If we reach 10,000 supports within the next 184 days we will get a review by LEGO and perhaps an official set!  I've got a long way to go, and every support counts.  I welcome any and all feedback in the comments section.

Next, why not check out my Howl's Moving Castle project, too?  Howl needs your support as well!

Finally, thank you to the people at the Studio Ghibli Facebook fan page for featuring my work!

Castle in the Sky Minifigures!

Hi fans,

I just completed the design of my first ever Castle in the Sky minifigures!  Although they were designed to fit in with my minifig-scale Laputian Robot, they could still be included in this set, similar to how the Joker and Batman were included in the UCS Tumbler.  That's right--this project has just been upgraded to become the UCS Laputian Robot!  Please enjoy!

Introducing the Laputian Robot Mini!!!

Hi fans,

I've been bouncing around lately, with both LEGO and non-LEGO projects, but I did get a chance to finish something I've been dying to get done for a while now.  As the title suggests, I've created a Laputian Robot Mini!  (project page: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/80316 )This robot is at perfect minifig scale, so if I ever get around to making Pazu and Sheeta, this baby will fit right in.

I hope you enjoy!

Laputa Robot gets Staff Pick!

Hi fans,

As many of you may know by now, my Laputa Robot project was chosen as a Staff Pick yesterday.  Here at the studio we're all really excited, even the Robot himself!  (See photo below)

I just wanted to say Thank You to all the staff at LEGO Ideas for giving my project a little spotlight, even if it's just for a couple days, and Thank You to all my fans, some of whom have shown such loyal support over the past few months.

Please also check out my Howl's Moving Castle project.  They both need each other!

Laputa Robot featured on Brickset!

Hi fans,

Just wanted to provide an update for anyone who missed it:

My Laputa Robot has been featured in an article on Brickset!  Thanks to GlenBricker for taking the time out to mention my project, as well as SavetheBrick for reminding me to give you all an update.  And a big thanks to everyone at Brickset for realizing the awesomeness of a Laputa Robot built entirely out of LEGO bricks.  Don't forget to support my project :)

Version 2.0 is here!

Hello fans,

I am pleased to announce the release of Laputian Robot 2.0--highly modified and built from real LEGO bricks!

Standing at 15" tall, this loyal guardian robot features a sleek new redesign, 32 moveable joints, a moss-covered torso and head, and hatches that open in the front to reveal the robot's internal jetpacks.  Built with reddish brown and olive green bricks, the design is more realistic, larger, and just plain beautiful.  I hope you enjoy, and please share with your LEGO- and Castle in the Sky-loving friends!

And don't forget to show your love for my other projects.

Kurt
