Update #2: One Week In!
Hello everyone! It's been a week since the project kicked off, and what a fantastic turnout, we're well on our way to 500 supporters!
I have a few little updates to the project! The first one is by request of Brikzxince2011, who suggested that Clyde's comic book creation, The Silver Bullet, could be included as an Easter Egg. Say no more!
First seen in the Series 5 story "The Curse of Clyde Langer", the Silver Bullet is Clyde's passion project, which he is very sadly forced to set alight in order to keep himself warm when he becomes homeless.
And now, one more addition from Series 5. Another potential minifigure with lots of play value - the mysterious Shopkeeper, and his parrot, the Captain. Who is he? Some say the Corsair, some say an agent of the Trickster, some say we may never know...
The more supporters we achieve, the more minifgures and updates to the set there will be! I've already got plans for some fan-favourite characters (and parents!) to appear in minifigure form, but that all depends on you supporting and sharing the project! Thank you to everyone who has done so thus far, but we need to keep the momentum going, and increase it if at all possible! I've got two more graphics below for you to use and share around.
If everyone who had supported this project just found one more person each who they could persuade to support it, we'd nearly be at 1000 supporters, which would be a staggering 1/10th of the way to success, as well as our second milestone and an extension of 182 days. So please, keep sending this to your friends, keep sharing it on Twitter, Facebook, Discord, Reddit, Amino, Instagram, you could even text or email somebody! It only takes two minutes to lend your support to the project. The faster we do this, the sooner you could be sitting with the box in your hands...!
That's all for now. Please comment if you have any more requests for updates, and they could be added!
Very best wishes, have a good week, and keep sharing!
Plans, Promotions, and Potential Additions
Hi everybody! Thank you so much for your support so far. Nearly 350 people supporting this project in just two days is phenomenal. You're all wonderful, each and every one.
So! I'm under no illusions that this won't be a difficult task. 10,000 supporters is quite a tall order! But this first outpouring of enthusiasm for the project, getting to the first milestone in a matter of hours, has suggested to me that there is hope. But I can't do it alone, and that's why sharing the project and telling people about it is so, so important.
However, depending on the way you share something, you can get better results. Thanks to everyone who has already posted the links in groups and retweeted on Twitter, but could I also suggest you share with individual friends? Just a quick text or DM asking for their support, maybe asking to pass it on to someone else too? That could really boost our numbers. You all know people who are Sarah Jane fans, or Doctor Who fans, or LEGO fans in general, who would love something like this but don't know about it - give that extra bit of encouragement!
As for mass-sharing, I'm also putting together some graphics which you can share online along with a link. The first one is just below, and there will be more to come over the following days and weeks.
I do have plans for additions to the project too - more minifigures, more Easter Eggs, etc., and with any luck that should boost us a bit too if word spreads about the Gita Chandra minifig that's been added! I've already got a list of things I'd like to add, but should you have any requests, feel free to comment and I'll see what I can do.
That's all from me for now. Keep sharing, keep supporting, and thank you once again. <3
