BK-900 "Burgermeister Rex" -- clearly this creation is the byproduct of what happens when I'm brainstorming what to build next, and I suddenly get really hungry!
This is an armored battle mech featuring the iconic Burger King "King", armed with a flame-broiled flamethrower! The construction and design are both very similar to my previous battle mech from 2017, known as the Mecha Mouse piloted by Mickey. This build itself contains a few Hero Factory parts, but mostly traditional LEGO and LEGO Technic pieces easily available. With its ball and socket joints, this model is in fact rather durable and fully articulated. If it becomes sold as a real toy, most likely the major change would be in the design of the top canopy (the top "bun" of the burger); this part was done last, and kind of rushed.
Background: In all truthfulness, on one weekend afternoon I sat and pondered what sort of whimsical thing to build, when I realized I hadn't eaten all day. I then came up with the idea of the iconic Burger King "King" piloting a bipedal mechwarrior Whopper!
