Tutankhamun

Within a couple of months Tutankhamun got over 3000 supporters. Thank you very much!

During this time I took the opportunity to improve the model and present you a new version that resembles the real Mask of Tutankhamun even more. This new version is now live! Let's start with some pictures of the old and new model.

So, what’s new? I made many small changes to the shaping of the model which is now much more accurate. The Mask is now tilted slightly backwards giving Tutankhamun a dignified look. This also meant I could no longer use a pyramid shaped support, but I think I managed to put in a nice alternative.

The most noticeable change is of course the addition of decorated elements. I always thought the model could benefit from a few decorated parts, but up until now I didn’t have the skill to do so. After a bit of trial and error I came up with decorated parts for the eyes, necklace and hieroglyphs. One supporter asked if I could add a name tag which I thought was a brilliant idea. I thought it would be a nice touch to spell Tutankhamun in hieroglyphs too (which I hope I spelled correctly).
