Dear
Architects, Designers, Travelers, and
Fans,
Newsstand
is an open stall, often on a street, where newspapers and magazines are on sale
to the public. Absolutely, newsstand is amazing project of urban design. You can
use your imagination and feel free to design your own newsstand with Lego
bricks.
Short history
The
newsstand project was initiated by The Newsstand Association of Philadelphia,
which represents newsstand owners and operators. The design was developed
through extensive cooperation among city agencies, operators, and stakeholders.
Two
prototypes were approved by the Art Commission of Philadelphia and are located
at 4th and Chestnut Streets and 12th and Market Streets. Additional versions,
modified with a flat roof, have been installed throughout Center City and West
Philadelphia.
Newsstands
will be completely replaced by electronic information technology as Google Play
Newsstand. Newspapers and magazines will no longer appear on newsstands in the
future. That's why I'd like to convey to the younger generation keeping the
culture of the newsstand with Lego.
Measure of Newsstand
h=
88.9mm / 3.5in
l=
124.46mm / 4.9in
w=
91.44mm/ 3.6in
I
think this idea will be a great Lego Set of approximately 425 Lego bricks that
many people could enjoy! Newsstand is such an amazing project to build in Lego
bricks! Thank you to all the supporters! Thank you to all the followers!
