3rd update, a new competitor
Hello there,
someone wrote in the comments that it might be a good idea to add a competitor to the project so they can race against each other or see who is faster when racing through the pylons.
So I made up my mind and here is the result. Pleace notice that I created the second plane from scratch, only few things were copied from the original plan (like the gear e. g.).
I hope you like the plane and I hope the set would not get too big with two planes in it...
2nd update (tail, gear, wings)
I made up my mind about the plane again.
For the gear I used smaller wheels so now I am quite happy with the covers. I changed the tail again so the whole plane looks more like the planes which are used in reality for the well known Air Race (you know what I mean). I also added an exhaust at the bottom of the motor. And finally I replaced the "antennas" by wingtips.
Hopefully the new pictures will be uploaded correctly - I understood that I had to copy them into the text so sorry to all who expected those pictures at the first update!
Tail update
OK, one of the comments made me think about some changes at the tail. Now the plane looks closer to the original I was inspired from. Number of parts is now 468 pieces because I also replaced the 1x2 curved slopes at the wings by 2x2 curved slopes.
I'm excited to hear your feedback which one you think looks better!
I still don't have a better solution for the wheel covers, maybe there will be a second update in the future...
