Victorian Mansion

This is a build of a mansion that would have typically been seen in the late nineteenth century commonly called the victorian era. It features many of the architectural styles that would have been common among buildings from this time period such as several spires on the roof as well ivy growing up its sides. I decided to go with a dark orange and dark green color combination because I felt that it was unique but still realistic.
I usually build ships but as soon as I came across this particular style of building I was fascinated by all of the details. I began to research images of both the interior and exteriors of these buildings in order to find what I might include if I was to build one. After planning and thinking I decided to challenge myself and see if I could replicate what I had seen. Overall, I am pretty happy with how this build turned out.
I think that this would make a good display model for anyone who likes architecture (especially from this time period). One aspect that adds to its visual impact it simply its scale. It is quite large and could easily be seen as minifigure scale. Another thing that might make it a good display model it the relatively uncommon colors that it features (as mentioned before).

This model in made up of two portions (outside and inside). It is designed in such a way that the exterior shell can slide over top of the inside. The inside is made up of five distinct sections.

I had originally designed a second floor to go along with it, however, I had to omit it in order to stay within the piece limit.
