The Old Mill

There's lots going at the Old Mill Open Day today!

The bunting is out and people are starting to arrive.

The wheat is coming off the back of an old truck in sacks and the milled flour is then being bagged and baked into bread for sale.

Some poor guy has even got himself into a spot of trouble!

Turns out it was MaxOtt20!

The Tripp family had a great day out to the Old Mill!

And here is a photograph of the mill in the olden-days, just before it went out of use and became derelict.

Here's a close-up of the millstones and grain hopper. I decided to go for the classic horizontally mounted stones as these are used for flour, rather than the vertically mounted ones (which were used more for oil production).
