"In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort". - J.R.R. Tolkien
Drawing from one of the greatest books of all time, I have created LEGO The Hobbit. The inspiration for this build came mainly from the IDEAS activity "Books", and I ran with it. The build itself is a micro Bag End on top of an original copy of "The Hobbit", which is actually sand green in real life. On the back is a sign that says "The Hobbit." The Bag End in the activity idea is the official LEGO version, vs. this one which is custom. (I got lazy when I created the activity) :-)
The model has 406 parts and is 20x12, 8x26 4 studs. The LEGO model would include Gandalf the Grey and Bilbo Baggins simply because ONE: They are in the start of the Hobbit, and TWO: They are the coolest people in the book and movies. I hope you enjoy this MOC. One LEGO set to rule them all!
