Flying Seagull

Hello everyone!

Since my last Idea was quite static in nature 🙂 I thought I should go for something more… dynamic 😁 and so here goes my flying seagull!

I also felt that having something made of Lego which actually moves “on its own”, without batteries, was charming!

I love the sea… the salt in the breeze, the crushing of waves, the white of the foam.

The wooden seagulls hanging from the ceiling which can be seen in many maritime locations around the World have always fascinated me… their motion is hypnotic and relaxing and I’ve been wanting to attempt this build this for quite a while now.

The trickiest element to achieve was the swinging movement and delicate balance between the weight of the body and the wings - I think it came out quite good, as the seagull soars high 🙂!

This build is relatively small, counting 300 pieces, but size could vary as well as colour combination / kind of bird.

It is a simple idea, minimalistic by nature, but I love it because of that and I hope you can enjoy it too!

The seagull is now hanging in my living room, spinning around slowly but when we pass by, somehow we cannot resist, we pull the line and it starts flying. It’s such a nice feeling! So, if you would also like to give it a try, please support to make it real 🙂!
