Bangarang! A LEGO "Hook" Set Proposal for the 35th Anniversary
"Hook" is Steven Spielberg's beloved 1991 classic, which tells the magical tale of Peter Banning (Robin Williams), a grown-up Peter Pan who has forgotten his past in Neverland. When his children are kidnapped by his old enemy, the nefarious Captain James Hook (Dustin Hoffman), Peter must return to Neverland and rediscover his inner child to save them.
My design consists of 4,955 pieces and features 13 minifigures. My goal was to capture the whimsical spirit and iconic locations of Neverland from the film!
The set includes:
- The Jolly Roger: Captain Hook's dastardly pirate ship
- The Crocodile Clock Tower: Tick-tock, the clock is ticking for Captain James Hook!
- The Nevertree: The Lost Boys' mystical hideout, which showcases all four seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall) simultaneously and also includes;
- Lost Boys' Tents: Cozy abodes nestled within the Nevertree
- Tinkerbell's Apartment: A tiny dwelling for the feisty fairy
- Rufio's Windsurf Skateboard & track: Ready for some high-flying fun!
- The Lost Boy Dinner Table: The iconic battle of insults (and coconuts) between Rufio and Peter
- The Ruins of Peter Pan's Old Hideout: Hidden within the Nevertree, a glimpse into Peter's lost past
- The Lost Boy Attack Craft: Relive the epic final battle with the Lost Boy's ship as they attack the Jolly Roger!

"Hook" is one of my favorite movies! I've made it an annual tradition to rewatch this movie since I was a kid and I've been thinking about this idea for years! To pay tribute to its enduring magic and in anticipation of its 35th anniversary in 2026, I'm excited to propose this "LEGO: Hook" set for other fans!
