Korean Brick Party (KBP) 2024 🧱 🫰
I had the grand opportunity to hold a booth at KBP 2024 in Seoul, Korea on 3 August.
To compliment the Korean BBQ Restaurant, I created a larger panoramic scene of a Korean street with a street party, full of K-Pop Dancers, street vendors and games. It was a lively scene including a family park, a CU Mart (popular Korean convenience store chain) and a coffee cafe.
The experience was awesome - not only did I get a chance to meet a lot of really awesome builders, but I met so many Korean children and adults that loved my idea.

Over 2000 Votes for South Korean Culture!!!
We are getting even closer to Lego building another set that represents the Land of the Morning Calm. South Korea introduces such a beautiful culture for all to enjoy across the world. Recently I placed the set in a South Korean Toy Store in the Lego section for both children and adults to enjoy and vote - it was a great exhibition!
I truly appreciate your continued support!

Major Improvements
Based on outstanding feedback from supportive fans, I've made some significant changes to the submission that I would love to share with you all!
Hopefully, the changes will show on the primary submission page soon, in the meantime, please enjoy these updated photos that show improvements to the restaurant sign (new hangul and english letters, and glowing charcoal and fire), as well as an updated temple design (new roof and columns).
I hope you also enjoy this short video!
Thanks so much for your support!

Making the Sign in Hangul (Korean characters)
I’ve received some great feedback about the correct Korean letters (Hangul) to spell BBQ.
The sign I built “바배큐“ was based on feedback from my Korean friends. Since making the submission, I’ve received comments that it should be “바베큐“.
I’ve seen both variations on signs for Korean BBQ restaurants personally, so I thought it would be good to show variants of each spelling and how I arranged Lego pieces to make each style.
The original sign:
Locking pieces removed:
”B” characters slid out (for modification):
But couldn’t the “Q” character be done better too? I wonder, Hmmmm…🤔
Red locking piece and bottom of “Q” character removed:
“Q” fixed with a 1x3 flat and locked back into place:
I think the “Q” looks much better. Okay, now back to the “B”s…
2 variants of the new spelling created:
The first variant is a bit blocky and may be hard to read. The second variant uses 1x1 round studs to make it less blocky and hopefully easier to read. Which spelling looks best to you?
I like this one:
I hope you enjoyed this update, and will consider supporting or providing more feedback to make this restaurant even better!
