This project is based on the 1503 painting by Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci. This is da Vinci's most famous work of art, and probably one of the most famous paintings in the world.
For the tiles that make up the picture, I looked at a variety of color schemes that would not only look interesting but still make the project easily recognizable. On the back, there is a green and red inverted tile, so it is easy to differentiate between the top and bottom of the artwork when looking at it from the back. Looking at the top of the back you'll see 2 pin connector blocks for mounting the artwork on the wall. There are 878 pieces in this project.
