Hello LEGO Star Wars fans!

It's my pleasure to introduce to you my second MIDI-Scale model, my very favourite spacecraft: The Venator Star Destroyer!

It has been more than 2 years since my first attempt to build Venator in this size. Being inspired by Erik Varszegi’s huge model, I spent weeks trying to figure out how to shrunk it into smaller scale. It was surprisingly difficult task to build the solid structure abiding the correct shapes and angles. Many concepts failed in progress and I'm honestly proud of this final one.

I tried to match the size with my previous model, The Invisible Hand (https://ideas.lego.com/projects/71409), but due to some restrictions comming with Venator's structure, it ended up about 3 studs longer than it should be. I'll rather resolve this by extending the original Invisible Hand in some update.

Model properties

  • Pieces: 1516
  • Fully detailed sides
  • Bottom hangar entrance with crane
  • 8 turbolaser turrets
  • 54 studs long (43 cm)
  • 27 studs wide (22 cm)
  • 16 studs high (13 cm)

Thanks for stopping by!
