You know Dasher and Dancer, and Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid, and Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall
The most famous reindeer of all...

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a Christmas classic. Airing on television every holiday season since its 1964 production, Rudolph is the longest-running TV Christmas special in history, and continues to be enjoyed every year by millions worldwide. It defined what a holiday special should be, and went on to inspire a litany of future productions from Rankin/Bass as well as many more specials in the years following. With such a legacy and with a story and style beloved by so many, what better way to commemorate Rudolph's upcoming 60th anniversary than with LEGO?

This set, as proposed, recreates the original Animagic puppets used to bring to life two of the special's most principle characters: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Sam the Snowman. Both are designed to be both screen-accurate and at roughly 1:1 scale with the real puppets. Rudolph measures 5.7 inches (14.5 cm) tall and Sam measures 7.2 inches (18.4 cm) tall. The set also includes Sam's umbrella and iconic banjo, as well as a buildable display plaque featuring the film's logo set against a snowy North Pole base. This set is built from approximately 900 LEGO elements, and would be the perfect display piece for any Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or Rankin/Bass fan.
