My children recently asked me to play Ludo with them, but they quickly lost interest in the game. So instead, we built a LEGO Ludo-set, that is much more fun to play (and build).

The game focuses on my childhood favourite LEGO-themes: Castle, Western, Space and Forestmen - batteling it out on the board. It turned out to be a great way to introduce my kids to classic LEGO.

Play with one or two dices, depending on how fast you want the game to be. Use the DICE OF DESTINY to spice up your game. Use it with every throw or when you hit two of a kind - your game, your rules:

  • Yellow m. Logo: your moves go to the Space-team
  • Green m. Logo: your moves go to the Forestmen-team
  • Blue m. Logo: your moves go to the Cavalry-team
  • Red m. Logo: your moves go to the Castle-team
  • x2: double your move
  • NO MOVE: your throw is forfit
  • SEND GIFT: give your moves to a player of your choice
  • GO HOME: choose one of your pieces to send back to your home
  • SEND HOME: choose any piece belonging to another player to send back to his or her home - not pieces on endplates
  • EXTRA TURN: make an extra throw with the dices
  • COOL DOWN: you will miss the next throw
  • SWAP PLAYER: choose another player, with whom you switch pieces
  • SWAP TILE: exchange any tile on the dice and throw it again

You deside which sides should be on the dices, so your Ludo game is like never before every time you play!

The set is built in sections, so it can be easily packed away when you are done playing and ready to assemble in seconds when you want to play again.

It’s built in real life to test the durability and playbility of the set, and make sure that items are easy to pack away and re-assemble .. and it works amazingly.

I’m sure this will be a great LEGO-set, because it combines the story of classic LEGO themes doing battle on the board with an awesome building experience. It’s also great fun playing with family and friends, over and over again, while you have the power to decide how the game is played by mixing up the dices.

The kids love it and I hope you do to.
