Snowflakes are magical creatures: lively, volatile and kaleidoscopic. They seem ever changing yet have the most geometric shapes. Appearing out of nowhere and often vanishing before they even touch the ground they are perfect little strangers, forever travellers.
And you, too, may have looked up in the twirling snow once before and figured they might just be alive, thousands of tiny happy people jumping out of the clouds bursting with excitement for the journey of a lifetime.

Previously build for the GWP-challenge I have expanded the original idea to create a design that would amount to an actual set. I love snowflakes and I really enjoyed the idea of putting the original snowflake-pieces to a good use and create a versatile decorative set that still has a playfulness to it and add it to the more stationary winter creations.
Also, I did get some lovely feedback so I figured I should send these little guys on another IDEAS-journey!

The three snowflake ornaments are accompanied by a fun little "snow-mobile“. The ornaments can be individually hung or put on the little stands and the the mobile is meant to be played with and/or placed next or beneath the snowflakes as a sort of grounding element.
While two of the snowflakes can carry a cute snowdancer-minifigure, the third one is cruising ahead!
You can chose which minifigures goes which what snowflake and whether you want to add the minifigures at all. There are a few additional pieces that can be used to modify the snowflakes to your taste as the ornaments are meant to look good with or without the snow dancers - but to me the minifigures are an absolute must.
The snowflakes would be a beautiful window decoration where the translucent pieces catch the light but will appear equally charming as a winter table decoration or on a window sill with a string of fairy lights
… they could even be hung on a Christmas tree!

Approx. 580 pieces* including:
- 3 minifigures
- 3 additional snowflakes
- 6 additional 1x1 round plates of different matching colours
& 1 additional 12l bar with plate end
*I've actually built this design to check the balance & discovered that each snowflake can only be done with 6 less pieces than the stud.io version which in turn does not work without them so they are included in the pics.

I really hope you like my „Little Snowflakes gone traveling“ and support it so one day it could become a real set to brighten up the darker winter days.
