After reading an article on Thomas Poulsom’s Lego British Bird Series, I was inspired to create one of my favorite North American birds: the Cardinalis cardinalis or Northern Cardinal.
This male specimen is 7.5" (19cm). He is an all-red bird with a pointed crest, and a black patch at the base of his red bill.
I love the idea of connecting to the natural world with Lego. I strongly advocate for more hands on education. Imagine my creation in the classroom.
Thanks for your support. And please head on over to https://ideas.lego.com/profile/detomaso and support his lovely bird creations as well :)
