Hello everyone! I hope this finds you well.
Model description:
What is it?
In this model, I liked the idea of showing a frame in the building phase of a race car. As you can see, the central and rear sections of the chassis are absent, allowing a peek at the attractive and detailed geometries of the V8 engine and the tubular frame. The engine core and the frame are built using LEGO Technic elements to reduce the total number of pieces while ensuring the necessary stability for the set. Moreover, this choice allowed me to include functions such as a steering wheels, suspended axles, movable pistons, and a front-rear differential in the transmission.
Why did you build it?
The core idea of this set is to enjoy the beauty of building a model, free from any pressure to complete it quickly, with the belief that it can only be fully appreciated once finished. I often call the peaceful sensation felt while building something "staying in the flow" and that inspired the lettering on the front of the base. I loved the idea of using the traditional Chinese kanji 流動 to poetically translate the word flow.
Why do you believe this would make a great LEGO set?
The building process is one of the most important parts of each LEGO set; therefore, freezing a frame of it within the model itself, I think, is an interesting representation of this concept.
As-is model specifications:
Dimensions. Width: 33.3 cm, Length: 61.0 cm, Height: 19.8 cm.
Total parts. 3800 pieces.
Special thanks in advance to everyone who chooses to support the idea behind this model. I truly appreciate it.
