LEGO builds great car racing sets and I wanted to celebrate a great female car aficionado. Add a little girl power and there are very few female professional drivers so she should be celebrated. From racing on the track to being a commentator watching the track, Danica has done it all. Car racing is a competitive sport and only the very best make it to the top. I have been a fan of Danica's for a very long time and she is a great example for people to reach for the stars.

Danica is the most successful women in the history of motorsports, competing against men in a traditionally male-dominated sport. This speaks to her incredible athleticism and race car drivers are highly tuned athletes, requiring a blend of strength, endurance and cardiovascular fitness to handle the extreme physical demands of racing. Primarily managing high G-forces and maintaining focus for extended periods. Danica started racing go-karts at the age of 10 and her resilience and determination catapulted her to the top. For me she is more than a legend and I admire her for many reasons. When I talk about her this is what I usually say "Danica is amazing, she races cars against guys, she is smart, a car career lady and a loving Auntie - just like me. Oh yeah and to top it off she is absolutely gorgeous".

I would love to see this female race car driver standing proudly on the LEGO podium shelf.
