For those who seek an even closer look into this build, the LEGO(R) Digital Designer(tm) LXF files for the basic locomotive platform, as well as full locomotive and car builds, are now available for download via my gallery at BrickShelf(tm). Please note that two bevel gears that transfer rotation to the large drive wheels are not shown in the LXF file due to difficulty in alignment of the gear teeth.
