Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing

Remember the Tammi Terell and Marvin Gaye song, “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing”? The real thing in this case was 288 😲 cheese slopes above and below the calendar face. Instead, curved slopes now create the subtly textured trim. They also substantially strengthen the rails, and make for a more pleasant build experience.
Father Time passed through and used his sickle to slide the frame into place for February and Lady Cupid contemplated how best to highlight the 14th. She chose a nano mosaic then went on to aim her arrows at 9,763 brick lovers who use calendars. If you know any, I’m certain she’d appreciate your help.
Inspired by Lady Cupid, I created a nano mosaic for my son’s birthday on 2/23. (Easter egg—his favourite colour is purple hence all 2’s are medium lilac/deep purple).
I didn’t know a calendar could have so much play value!
