Temple of Horus

Discover the mysteries of Ancient Egypt through this 2600 pieces project!
This temple imitates the classic structure of Egyptian temples, with sphinxes and obelisks at the entrance, followed by a doorway with pylons, a court, an hypostyle hall and a sanctuary.

The images on the pylons depict Horus and Seth, famous for their struggle after the coup schemed by Seth against Osiris, father of Horus.
The columns present throughout the temple are fashioned to imitate the papyrus, a plant sacred in Ancient Egyptian religion.

In the sanctuary is placed a small solar barge, which was carried out of the temple during festive days by priests, the only people allowed in the inner temple.
