Megaman X1 was one of my favorite games from my childhood. It was the first Megaman game released on a 16-bit console, and I believe many people share similar memories of struggling to defeat the first stage boss, Vile, and his Ride Armor. The moment Vile first appeared, riding a massive robot equipped with powerful cannons on his shoulders, left a lasting impression on me. The battle between X and Vile became so iconic that it inspired me to create this project.
•This project includes:
- X
- Vile
- Ride Armor
- X-Buster effect
- Display stand
Both X and Vile are 13 cm tall and can be posed easily, much like action figures. The Ride Armor stands at 23 cm tall. I designed it to appear more robust and streamlined. I enlarged the hands to allow for a better grip on X and removed the joint from the legs to enhance stability. Additionally, I added rotating joints to the knees for more dynamic posing options. X and Vile can sit comfortably in the Ride Armor.
•Why did I create this?
I have always been a fan of Megaman action figures, and since LEGO offers a wide variety of mech sets, I thought, “Whynot build my own?"
•Why should this be a set?
Many people are captivated by giant robots, and the Megaman series is cherished by a large fanbase. This Megaman set includes various components, allowing collectors to experience the joy of assembly. Its articulated design enhances interactivity, enabling players to fully engage in the battle scenario between X and Vile, providing endless entertainment. Ibelieve this set would be an excellent addition for both Megaman enthusiasts and mech fans alike.
