How it came together:

This year, 2020, seems like a special year for one of the most loved types of LEGO® sets ever produced: Trains! 🚂🚃 Inspired by this little jubilee, I built this here steamer on LEGO® Digital Designer with a vintage-style color-scheme. To make it a little more realistic, I even looked up images of Deutsche Bahn (DB) steam locomotives. I hope you like it!

Project description:

The 0-4-0 Retro Style Steam Locomotive is 488 pieces. (If you count the extra two locomotive wheels that would technically included in this model, the project would be 490 pieces.) 🛤

This MOC (My Own Creation), like many other of my train-related projects, is compatible with the Bluetooth-compatible Powered UP motorization system. Therefore, this locomotive includes features such as the removal of the four drive-wheels, the seat inside the cab to make way for the wire, and the removal of the coal load inside the tender.

Other features include a removable cab roof, coupling-rods on the drive wheels, a swinging bell, and a moving magnetic coupler on the back of the tender. To complete this set, a retro driver minifigure is included as well.

Conclusion:
