Quick & Dirty Features Overview

I thought the best way to show all the features in the model would be to screen capture a video in the building program I use, Bricklink Studio.  have a look (better with audio, but you'll still get the gist if its muted):

Instructions!!

I've been working on instructions for the Shark Submarine (Laverna)!

I know that if the set gets made, then it would be redesigned a little bit, but I enjoy designing instructions, and its also a great way of checking your model and making sure there are no weak points or mistakes.

I've made a lot of little tweaks along the way which really improve the functionality and the overall look.

BABY SHARK

Baby Shark, do do-do da-doo

Because, why not?!  I just had some fun creating a mini-scale version of the Laverna.

There ended up being some pretty fun and tricky building techniques, so I've included an exploded view.

NB. this is not proposed as part of the DeepSea Treasure Hunters set,  just an example of how I am always coming up with fun ideas around the concept.

have fun!!

Previously Unavailable Elements

Here are some of the previously unavailable pieces that would be made available in the set if we are able to get to 10,000 and get it on shop shelves!

Some special highlights include:

  • 5x sets of chrome silver 2x1 modified plate with 3 teeth.
(this could also be done in pearl silver)
  • 2x bionicle 1 x 3 teeth in sand blue
  • 2x Orange wedge 2 x 4.  This element has only ever been available in black in one set (9470-1: Shelob Attacks)

There also a number of printed parts (or stickers) to show the ships name (Laverna) anf the scarred steel on the sides of her hull.

Of course, the 3 minifigs would be be original and based on the designs I have submitted!

Thanks for taking a look, I really appreciate each and every supporter.

Crew Closups

Here are a few close-ups of the custom minifigs I created for the set.  I've mixed in some retro throwbacks to a couple of my old favourite themes, including an Aquasharks logo and a classic Paradisa tank top.
